Hello Everyone!
Time for an update with Avery Mae. And our family activities.
Avery: SHE IS 6 MONTHS OLD! How did that happen?! It doesn't seem that long but in some ways it does. I can't imagine life without this little rascal. She is sooooooooooOOOOooooOOOoo active. She is always moving moving moving. Even strangers or people who meet her for the first time comment on how active she is. She's constantly kicking her legs, grabbing at everything and arching her back if she's on the floor. She plays with toys for long periods of time and she is so smart. She's loving peekaboo. She loves swimming!! (that is an understatement). When she gets excited she bobs her head up and down and flaps her arms like she's a bird. Often when someone is holding her and she's sitting on their lap looking outward, she just rams the back of her head into their chest. She wiggles wiggles wiggles all the time and I already have a hard time keeping a hold of this one. haha. She is not crawling, is not rolling (ok she's rolled a few times but not consistently by any means), is not walking or even standing up and I am just scared for when she does all those things because I already know we've got an explorer on our hands. She looks at everything and everyone and is seriously adorable. People comment on her bright blue eyes and they are definitely so beautiful. I love her so much and we can't imagine our life without this little elf. (Avery means "elf ruler" if anyone is wondering. I found that out about 2 months ago. So I will call her "my little elf" often). She is recognizing people now too, which is always fun. She gives good hugs, which everyone who gets one LOVES!
Jake got a new calling: 2nd counselor in the Bishopric. It's been good and there is a lot of work to do in our ward so it keeps us busy. I don't see him much on Sunday but that is ok.
Megan got home! It's so great to have her home! We spent about 4 days up in Bountiful with the family and it was so wonderful. Our whole family together for the first time in 4 years! She loved her time in Germany and was such a good missionary. It's fun to talk to her about the differences and similarities of being a missionary 1/2 way around the world. Love the gospel that brings the world together!
This week has been a week of AC concerns. Our Durango is in desperate need of AC and we took it in and it's worst case sencario....$1,100 to fix the whole thing. LAME. Then our house has no way to be cool and so we've bought an AC unit for Avery's room bc it got so hot she was waking up every 1.5 hours. LAME. and poor girl. She'd be just sweating.
We are excited for our trips this summer, first of which is IF for the 4th of July! So excited about that. Then comes Sun Valley, then Cabin so we've got some fun things to look forward to.
