birthday,avery mae, st. george

I'm really bad at coming up with good post titles in case anyone was wondering...anyway,

Avery is now 3.5 months old.  She is seriously a doll!  We love her so much and can't believe how much joy she brings to us.

She is doing the most adorable things right now!  She is smiling a ton and she gets so excited that she stiffens her whole body and lets out squeaks and gasps!  Her smile is so big it takes up her whole face!  She is a talker too!  I love her little noises and faces she makes while she is "talking"  Avery has also been just hanging out with her tongue sticking out of her mouth. haha! She is really quiet the easy baby (i think).   She doesn't cry often, only when:
-I wait to long to feed her and she's hungry.  As soon as she gets food she stops.
-She is getting her onesies changed. haha this is really funny actually bc its a "I dont like what just happened" cry, so its kinda whinny and sad.
-She has not napped well and gets overwhelmed with noise (if we're at a family gathering for example)
-She has gas.  Thankfully, this is happening less and less now because she does not like having gas. We do not like her having gas.

Overall, she is so fun to have around and we find ourselves just staring at her and laughing at anything funny, cute or new that she does. It's awesome! We love being parents!  It is so great and fulfilling.

This past weekend, we went down to St. George with Jake's parents and Danielle and her kids. It was so fun! The weather was not very good, but we still went swimming and on a hike in Zions. Jake went golfing in the wind and rain with Dave and Grandpa Don, haha but we had so much fun being with the family and relaxing. Enjoy some pics from our weekend! (that is, when i get pictures off jakes phone)

We also really enjoyed General Conference.  It is different watching it with children running around...and having your own child to worry about.  Thankfully we can watch the messages later as well :)  I've already watched several over again and it is wonderful.  The Church is true.

Jake's birthday was yesterday! The big 2.4. haha.  He had a lot of catching up on homework to do because of our weekend away, but I made sure the day was filled with a surprise Taco Bell lunch, homemade curry, BYU Creamery maple bars (instead of a cake) and presents. Jake had been wanting new golf irons for a while so the parents and grandpa Don took care of that (thank you great deal on discountgolf) and i got him a new golf bag(again, thank you discountgolf), some new bball socks, and a thing to help you make stuffed hamburgers.  Avery gave him lots of smiles and hugs.  He loved them all and WE LOVE HIM!
