wow.

So Jake is gone playing basketball with some of the guys in the ward. I am glad he's going to play because he loves it so much! I have a lot I could be doing but instead opted to blog. hum...I do need to do some catch up however, so this will be good; also very random so prepare yourselves.

Let's start with the break. We had a wonderful first Christmas together! We spent time with both of our families and had some a fun in Bountiful for Christmas and in Idaho Falls for New Years. It's sad that there isn't any snow but it was still wonderful to have a break!

Jake is taking a lighter load this semester because he is going to be doing some training for his internship which starts in March. It's really nice to have him home for dinner and he's able to spend time with me after too! I'll tell more about the internship later but it's here in the Salt Lake to Utah valley so that is great and I'm so proud of him for getting it!

I'm still working at RC's 2 days a week and subbing when jobs come my way. It's great to be so flexible but sometimes I wish I had an every-day job. I'm loving life and hoping to work in the temple soon!

Now for the randoms.

I've recently been introduced to Pinterest. I appreciate it but don't feel like I have time to droll over what i don't have or what i have no money or time to make. Some of those crafts cost 6$ but also 4 hours of time. Which is more valuable to me? money or time? I guess that depends on the situation, and if I'm really in the mood to make crafts. If i am, it's fun...However, that craftiness mood only seems to last so long and I'm usually left with half finished products that hang around FOREVER and never get completed. Am I the only one who seems to go through this process?

I have made new years resolutions to STUDY the scriptures daily and to exercise daily. I've exercised once and read scriptures everyday but 1. Clearly, we can see where my priorities are from that. I really need to be more motivated to exercise. Anyone have tips for me? Any are appreciated.

What I've read lately in the scriptures is wonderful and I feel much closer to the Lord. I love that. I decided today to download Jesus the Christ by James E. Talmage so I can listen to that while I'm doing my dishes etc. instead of watch Monk. Hopefully, that will work. Also, this talk by Elder Maxwell in Nov. 1995 called "Swallowed up in the Will of God" is INCREDIBLE and i've loved reading and thinking about it. It's a good one for the first of the year.

Well, if you've stuck around reading this long, I thank you! It's been quite the random ride.
