Happy Thanksgiving!

We are so excited for the Thanksgiving break! It's so great to be with family and friends.

Jake is ready to be done with school and it's just a push to December. He is hoping to get a new job (that will help his resume more than the MTC) and internship. We will find out in a couple weeks or so if he'll get that. He is really wanting both of them because they will help him in his career path. Great.

Last night we watched 17 miracles. I had forgotten how wonderful of a movie that is. Jake had never seen it before and he almost cried. Which is a big deal. I have never seen him cry. I've seen him almost cry before, but never cross the barrier to actual crying. However, we came away from the movie so grateful for our ancestors/pioneers! My ancestor was featured in the film...John Linford. He was in the Willie handcart company and he died on the trail. That reek west would have been so difficult. I kept thinking throughout the film, "would I have done that?" "could I have followed my leaders humbly even when I thought they were wrong?" "could I have given of my 12 oz. of food to another?" Incredible. I hope that I can say yes to these questions, but it sure made me think about my testimony and what I am willing to do for the Lord and for others.

But after the movie we made thankful turkeys. We each cut out and colored a thankful turkey (you trace your hand and then make turkey feathers with your fingers and a turkey head with your thumb and write things you're thankful for on each finger). We are so blessed to be alive in this time with so many blessings right at our fingertips.

THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR BLESSING US SO MUCH!
