Highlights of the last couple months:
Trips to ID to see the Taylor family! So fun! I even went golfing. haha. Actually we went to the driving range and after Jake taught me what the heck I should be doing, I was fine. The only experience previous to that I have had with golfing is when my dad took Megan, Adam and I down to West Bountiful golf course and tried to teach us. Well, we did terrible and Megan and I had a horrible attitude to go along with it. I was super scared to try again, but it was actually FUN! I know Jake will try to convince me to do 9 holes soon...
I've been working at RC's for a little longer than a year and the project I've worked so long and
hard at, is finally being launched to the company!!! Yay! Feels great!I've been doing a lot of subbing lately as well. I've now officially subbed for every grade (elementary OF COURSE). I actually like subbing and hope that it will help me find ateaching. It's fun and challenging going into a classroom you know nothing about and trying to teach the students something. I love meeting so many children and helping them even if it is for just one day. It's great when I know I made a difference for an individual student.
WE are loving the GRILL! Oh my word. Jake is LOVING to grill. He is a good cook anyway but this lets him be creative with meat. How great is that?! He and my dad will get on the phone or just talk and swap grilling strategies and recipes. It's so fun to see them interact this way! I love it because it's so delicious! :)

One big thing that has happened over the last month/6 weeks or so, is that we have gone on a lifestyle change! It's great! I feel so much more healthy and even happier! We have cut out "cream of _______ soup", red meat, pretty much most of dairy (we realized this when we wanted to have cheese on something and we didn't have any! Before, that was a staple) and pasta. We've added VEGGIES. I've never been this healthy with my food before. It feels great! Jake has even lost some lbs. He feels great too! I thought we were eating healthy before, but now we are doing so much better! Now I just need to add exercise.
Hope all is well with you readers (if any exist...) and I'll see you next post! I need to figure out how to get images off my phone? Anyone know?

Yay! I'm glad you're alive. I would be sad otherwise. It's good to get an update on your life. I should call you sometime for that instead of waiting for a post on your blog. :) And I think you can text pictures to your email. You just send a normal picture text but put your email address in the "To:" spot. There might be an easier way, but that's how I've done it. Love and miss you!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thanks for the info about the pics! Today I just looked at your blog for the first time in a long while and it was so fun to see Lucy, the cutie pie! I agree we should call each other instead of waiting for these updates! LOVE YOU and I'm so glad you had so much fun with the family out there! Miss you!
